C headed 535 Coming up for sale

Well at the end of this pulling season My Buddy Bruce will be putting his current 535 CID C-headed Monster up for sale. Less Carb, Dry Sump and Oil pan. He'll be building a new motor over the winter with A-460 Heads.
After many hours of discussion we have come up with it'd be cheaper to build a new motor then try to put A-460 heads on his current motor.
So Charlie I'll try to steer him your way for the new stuff .. Heads, block, rotating assemble..
So if anyone is interested in this motor email me .. He's talked about letting it go for $10,000.00 ..

ShaZam,

Was your truck out-pulling his truck? We've seen a tendency for the A headed engines to have more low end torque than the C headed engines. But then, the C headed engine will make more Hp on the top end, with all other factors being equal. The torque curves have a different shape, but usually the gearing and the convertor can be adjusted around (played with) in order to make best use of the torque curve.

That sounds like a very good deal on that C headed engine!
