Does the core set need a complete rebuild or are you saying this only because of the best valve? I sure need a set but I am on the opposite side of the country as uaual when a great deal pops up.

Well I don't know what all they would need honestly,I bought them as a core set, I had planed to have them ported and stainless valves etc. installed but plans have changed.
They have some rust on them from sitting a long time and the one bent or stuck valve (not sure haven't looked closely)I think at the least they would need to be disassembled and cleaned up real good.
I'll have to dig them out of my shed and get a couple pictures taken.
I had planned on getting them worked for my jetboat while running the other set still on the boat but a rod bearing spun and I now have the motor out of the boat.
Meanwhile I ordered a set fully done from Paul Kane at High Flow Dynamics and just paid his core charge so I wouldn't have to ship mine from Wa. to Ca. and back.
Now I have two extra sets here to part with.

Hey,
I live in Salem, I also saw your ad on craigslist too. I was wondering. You have two sets of heads right, and these are the good ones? I might be able to pick them up. I first need to find out if I even need them. Can you post some more pics? Thanks, I'll post or pm back if I decide. Thanks

Smaller closed chamber combustion chambers for one.
I'm no expert but the D3VE is a 1972 and later smog motor head and the D0VE is a pre smog motor head from 1970/1971 when motors had higher compression.
Here's a thread on heads that will make your head spin lol.

PS: I would be willing to meet you at the Porltland airport area to shorten your drive some.

I tried reading the sticky but it's pretty annoying. So, with a higher compression, it adds power? Did you use 87 octane? Thanks
