Larry T these valves are +.100" longer than the stock valves offered in the 73 and up castings.

they would work but with modification ie spring pad spacers or a combination of spacers and -.050" locks or perhaps targeting a spring intalled height of around 1.900. i do believe the stock heads have a 1.800" installed height.

probably would be easier and cheaper in the long run to get the correct length valves.

if you have cj heads, i'll go with them. these valves are the correct length for cj heads.

the cj heads will increase your compression though. you may consider that if you're wanting to use pump gas.

Larry T you have the early heads either c8ve, c9ve or d0ve. these valves are the correct size for them as well.

i would use these heads above the d3te heads that you have. only thing again is that the combustion chamber is around 76cc and will raise your compression about 1 point above the d3's.
