~550 hp 466 w/ aluminum heads (A429)

Hey guys!

I'm selling the 460 bbf that I pulled from my car this winter. This engine has run as fast as 11.30 @ 122 mph in a full bodied, full interior, small tire (limited traction), street car. It easily has some low 11's or high 10's with traction. A lighter car should be well in the 10's with it.

--OEM block -- less than 1,000 street miles on machine work
--Eagle SRP rods
--SRP pistons (with a 0.050 dish in them for ~10.5:1 CR)
--Crane roller lifters (solid) -- checked by Crane last year
--Crane Cam -- http://cranecams.com/?show=browsePar...01&lvl=2&prt=5
--Aluminum A429 heads w/ some port work (no flow #'s though)
--Titanium Retainers (10*)
--Weiand Stealth -- http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku
--Paul Kane Stage 1 oil pump

This is a complete engine (minus oil pan/pickup tube and rocker arms). I have tons of pictures to prove everything I've said. I built this engine and am familiar with it's parts and the 'life' it's lived. I'm happy to discuss all the details to anybody interested.

PM me for my phone number to discuss it .

I will also offer the headers to the buyer (if they're interested). They are 2" primary and 3.5" collectors.

Have a good day!

I've received a few emails and PM's regarding this engine. While I'm responding to each of them individually, this email will go over the same information.

I forgot to put a price . I'm asking $3,200.

--The engine has a stock crank that's been turned 10/10 (it may be 10/20).

--It has a 4.390 bore (0.030" over stock) in a stock block. This calculates to a ~466 cid

--It has ARP head studs

--The rods & pistons are full floating.

--Yes, the heads are A429...not A460. The Jon Kaase heads replaced the heads that I have on this engine. The heads have port work in the bowls and short-turn. The ports have not been enlarged and are as-cast.

--It has a newer timing chain cover.

--It has a newer (1 year old) aluminum water pump.

--The timing chain cover is held on with studs (not bolts). I done this to make it easier to assemble all the gaskets, motor plate, water pump, etc.

--I used Clevite "H" bearings (they may be the "P"...I'll have to check my receipts).

--I have receipts for ~95% of what I'm saying here.

--Here is a video of the car running 11.92 @ 118 mph. The car has run a best of 11.30 @ 122 mph in my heavy SN95 car.

--Bunch of pictures: http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g6...ang/?start=all

--The engine does not come with: oil pan/pickup tube, distributor, crank pulley, carb, motor plate, or rocker arms.

I think that's it for now. I invite you to ask me questions.

Have a good day!

I'm actually surprised I still have this engine sitting in my garage. I've got this thing priced well below the market value...

If the low price scares you...I'm happy to raise it to a more 'retail' price .

Have a good day!

You're right. My mph was 122 in a ~3,500+ lb full weight 96 Mustang. A lighter strip car could easily get low 10's with this motor.
