best factory block for a 545 is the d9te truck block... its got the longer cylinders for better piston stability at the bottom

just another dual quad 545 :-)

2 Bolt main .. 70 Bucks and its yours. Its still Standard .. never been bored. From what I have heard these 2 bolts handle some serious power. Let me know its just sitting in my Garage.

only the 429 scj block is 4 bolt... every other factory 385 series block is 2 bolt, but the stock 2 bolt blocks are good to 800 horse so it isnt an issue for most people as long as you keep a good tune. if youre running nos or something you may get some cap walk but youd get that on anything running nos.

just another dual quad 545 :-)

What state do you live in. I was thinking about putting the 429 SCJ 4 bolt main up for sale. It's never been bored, needs one cylinder sleeved. Its been hot tanked and is crack free. $700 is the cheapest I would consider.

I know a guy who has a couple of those blocks, he lives in the St Louis MO area.
