For Sale; Cherry set of Blue Thunder CJ heads

with the raised port exhaust and Chevy bolt pattern. These heads belong to David Cole and he is planning on moving up to TFS A-460 heads, thus the reason for selling. These heads have not been hurt in anyway, and I just did a freshen valve job on them, and milled them a clean-up cut of .006". The heads were originally ported and flowed by Scott Main at MPG Heads in Colorado. You will get the the flow sheet with the heads. They will be complete with valves, springs, titanium retainers, rocker studs, guideplates and new locks, seals and lash caps. I'm thinking they should be worth around $2,900. Call me at (270) 685-4654 or contact David Cole by PM on this forum. Thanks,

Charlie Evans

Thanks Charlie,

I will be picking the heads up this weekend at the NMRA Race in Bowling Green. I will have pics shortly afterward. Anyone that is going to Bowling Green and would like to take a look in person just give me a call.

The heads also include a a set of Probe stud girdles. Just add your rockers arms and you are ready.

The valve springs are Comp Cams #951 Pacaloy roller springs. They have a little use, but the Pacaloy holds it's pressure for a long time. While Charlie had the heads I had my local machine shop pressure test them and they are good to go.

I have a matching Victor 460 4500 flange intake that has been port matched to these heads. The clover leaf has been removed and there has been a little plenum work. The water bypass tube hole has been drilled/tapped so you can plug it or use a screw in nipple. The runners also have been drilled and tapped for injection or nitrous. These holes can simply be plugged with a 1/8 pipe plug if you don't want to use them. $300 I would prefer to sell it with the heads, I will sell it seperately, but only after the heads are sold. This intake is in PERFECT condition. No cracks, nothing wrong with it.

I can be contacted here by PM, but my regular email or by phone.

David,

I'm glad you have posted! Guys David listed his e-mail and phone # so touch base with him if you want.

David I know I have seen you car go 4.90's at Beech Bend with the B.T. headed engine. However I think you've told me that engine has run some 4.80's,,,,is that correct?

Charlie, My dragster went 4.87 @ 141 1/8 mile with these heads in my 07 American swingarm suspended car. In my previous car, a lighter Undercover slipjoint, the same engine went 143. Just a basic 557 with flatops, mild roller cam, cast crank, etc. The heads are some good pieces, i'm just looking to step it up a notch or two with an A460 headed combo.

Valve location - Do these heads have the same valve location as a ford scj head

Glad to hear Scott is alive, used to see him in the pits at Bandemire riding his bike, dont think he ever raced, but had a Buddy with a yellow 71 mustang he tried his cams in, think the guy was named Buster and his wife was the driver

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. Lets go racing !!

Valve locations are the same as stock Ford CJ, A429 aluminum, TFS street aluminum, Edelbrock, etc.

Yep, after I saw the pics with one of them in Blake's lap I had to handle them with gloves until I could spray them with some cleaner. Hope anything indecent didn't happen to them.
