86 Thunderbird bracket car for sale

86 t-bird with a 514. the motor has motorsport A460 heads, block, and Intake, pro systems carb, i don't have cam specs off hand here, but i can get them out of the shop. JPT powerglide with trans brake. the car is certified to 8.50, strut front suspension, anti roll bar, strange shocks and struts, biondo 450 delay bok K&R wiring kit, weights 2240 ready to run minus the driver.

i run it in super pro, but could easily be setup of 9.90 or 10.90 classes with a throttle stop.
has run a best of 8.57 @ 159 but consistently runs 8.8s @ 156 launching at 4400 shifting about 6300 and going through the traps @ 7300
has 60 ft as good as 1.17 but with 60 ft 1.24 on gravel(the car will hook on any track). always launches straight.
$25,000 obo

Would I be correct to assume that it is a tube chassis? If so is it all tube or is it 2" x 3"

it was front halfed and is round tube from the firewall forward, from the firewall back it is 2x3. it is an alson chassis form the very late 80s and the front half job, anti roll bar, and rear end bracing was done in 2005 by advanced chassis.

If you get the NMRA race pages there is a picture of it launching in the bracket write up of the Milan coverage. the front end is about 6 inches off the ground going straight and level.
