MEMBER Listings. . . .

Is there a way for all forum members that have some type of parts business to put a listing in this area as a sticky and all the products they sell?
This would be very helpful when a member is looking for parts they could contact these people on the forum first.

In other word put a sticky under the words PARTS HOUSE
Next have each member put there name or business name and list all the products they sell. Then this way when a member needs some thing they can look here first and contact them direct by PM or E-mail.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A
PLACE JUST FOR PEOPLE
THAT SELL USED PARTS { NOT A BUSINESS }
&
A PLACE FOR BUSINESS THAT SELL NEW PART's
&
IF THE BUSINESS HAS SOME USED PARTS
THEY COULD LIST THEM IN IN THE USED PARTS
BUT HAVE THE NAME OF THE
BUSINESS IN A DEFFERENT COLOR
SO YOU WOULD KNOE THEY WERE A BUSINESS
AS SOON AS YOU SEE THERE ADD

Thanks
George

It would be a good idea to check with all of those people on that list... or their websites, if you are looking for something specific. Never know what they might have around, new, used or whatever.

Before that vendor list post was made, I spent a good deal of time using the search function a while back and found that one of the Evans boys had a set of 1.8 Miller rockers sitting on the shelf well after Paul Kane sold out and I wanted to have a spare set on my shelf. Carl sells Diamond pistons, even though it doesn't say it in that list... it is on his site. Just because it is not on their website, doesn't mean they don't have it.

If you lose track of this post, a quick search of "vendor list" will help you find a copy again.

Wink

I would suggest anyone reading this to print a copy or two of this list. You never know when you'll need to call on one of these fine vendors and your not near a computer, or maybe if it becomes taboo for a business/vender to post items for sale without paying the new piper. I hate to think it will come to that though. Just a thought. Dave S.

Chuck, you are on the list & have been for quite some time...waaay over a year, I'd guess...at least, you are on my original list.... As a matter of fact, I still have your old DblADigger forum name listed on it as well as your current name. About 20 people have taken that list and copied/pasted, etc., and usually somebody gets dropped off in one place or another. I see that Joe Mayabb is on this one, and he's the last one I added, until three more vendors were added today. (edit) I updated your info on the list as I didn't have your address until now.

In response to several people asking, I PM'd Chilly & Jones sometime back and asked if the list could be made a sticky....never got a response from either, so I dropped the subject. (shrugs)

"Misquoted post" whore.

No big deal, it's been quoted/linked/pasted quite a few times, or quoted off a quote, so it's bound to get messy along the way. I found it on the Bullet a couple of months ago, missing a few key pieces.

That's an excellent point, and pretty much what I was aiming at when I originally wrote the list...TALK to these guys and determine who is best for YOUR particular case.

Yeah....I didn't ever plan to give more than a general description of a vendor's business....just because product lines are added & dropped and I figured I'd go bonkers (well, more so, anyway) trying to keep up. Besides, I wanted to refer people to the individual websites and to encourage them to talk to the vendors to find a good match. Actually, in the specific case of Diamond, if memory serves, Eric suggested talking to the dealers because their pricing would be better than dealing direct. I originally listed only websites (unless there wasn't one), but I discovered that a lot of guys printed the list out...so I added phone numbers, faxes, addresses, and e-mails as best as I could find them.

I also contemplated making a distinction between stocking vendors, and "drop-ship" vendors, but, again, I concluded that a potential buyer needed to ask for him/herself & figure out who was best for their needs.

Beyond that, my criteria were A) I made the distinction between stroker kit vendors and others because it seemed to be the most common question; and B) the vendor had to be a regular poster here (or be directly connected/involved with one). A couple of these guys don't post much anymore, but I haven't necessarily dropped them.

Actually the whole thing sorta snowballed & got more involved than I expected.
