Chrome Chute Mount

Have a Jerry Bickel parachute mount setup that has been chromed - looks great - the mount came off a Fox Body - it is removable, with the slide on uppers with pins and the chute mount bottom - It will mount a Stroud Spring or Air launch can or other type chute - The top mounting distance could be adjusted by shortning the upper rods and redrilling the capture pin holes - asking $50 plus shipping from 77477

Thanks
Ron

Ron,

Where does the upper mount attach to? License plate area? Does the bottom mount to the chute mount that pokes out the bumper cover? Any pics of it installed on the car?

Mount

Hey John - Happy Holidays

Yes - the bottom goes over your chute frame mount where you attach the chute main cord

As for the top I am not certain as I purchased it from a Foxbody racer along with the chute and spring launcher - I mounted the launcher and chute on my exsisting bracket - so I do not have a picture, and I am not certain about the top brackets mounting location

I can measure the distances /demsions if that would help ??

It is nice looking, no disappointments there

Let me know about the measurements

Ron,

Measurements would help. Maybe a distance, looking from the side, of how far forward the top holes are compared to the bottom. And then another looking from the side on how far above the bottom holes the top holes are. This would help me see if the top holes will sit in the license plate area and allow the lower to mount to a chute mount poking out of the bumper.

Thanks.

John

measurment

The chute mount square is 9 x 9
The top arms are 15.5 inches long
The top mounts are 9.5 on center
The top mount tabs offset .5 in or out - your choice
The bottom arms are 9.5 inches long
The distance between the bottom arm ends is 2.0
The distance between top mount bracket and bottom mount bracket is 13.0 C to C

These best relate to the first pic visually- applicable to all

Hope that helps

Did that help

John

I know it has been wet your way - wondering if the dimensions helped you

Plan to measure it later today. Been busy with work and the rain sure doesn't help either.
