OT - 428FE short block for sale

Cat Spring ,TX - will not ship - want buyer to inspect motor

428 Short Block 0.040 over, filled, ARP rod bolts, line-honed, square-decked, honed with torque plates, 100 - 120 passes since built. Crane 234/236 @ 0.050 (Fireball 296?) hyd cam, lifters still in place, TRW L2303N. Engine ran high 12's at 4400 lbs. Would idle at 800 rpm and provide for power brakes. Flexplate balanced to rotating assembly included. Some cosmetic rust due to storage. I'm pretty sure it has the MotorSport timing chain. Motor was built circa 1999 and pulled circa 1999 0r 2000. A search through the old FE forum will reveal a bad season for several members.

$1800 obo - now $1500

Missing one freeze plug (see video)

Does not include pan, balancer, mounts or pulley.

The Ugly (FFW Ennis either 99 or 00)

yep - screw-ins and 5-point harnesses for me from now on

I know people have had worst ride, but through the traps sideways at 100 mph with a lap belt tends to tighten the sphincter.
