I must ask as i am new to the whole rear end gear stuff, what does the bearing surface come into play? I know i have 31 spine and i know i prob. don,t want to put a spool in a daily driver but i have never noticed a bearing measurement. and how would i know what bearing surface i have? its just a stock 9 inch 2.75 open 31 spline piece, but then again i am very new to this stuff and need a "posi" mod with a better gear for better bottom end response. (poor car runs 2500 rpm at 80 mph)

Stock size is 1.871. Probably more info in my ad than needed. Pretty sure the larger stuff is for axles with a bunch more spline than 31.
