WTT Victor 460 4150 for 4500

I have a 4150 flange I'm lookin to trade for a Dominator flange. Going forward with my 545 build, and it's gonna get a dominator, which I'll also be looking for a 1050cfm, if anyone has one for a reasonable price. What ya got?
Thanks, Jon

You can get the flange changed from a 4150 to a 4500 very easy at a machine shop, I did mine myself on a small mill. Just use the new carb or gasket as a template. Always check the gasket against the carb first.

Arent the holes on a 4500 flange spaced out further than on the 4150?

Yes you must plug the old holes and redrill the new ones, they overlap.
I found it on a quick search but have no idea how to post links.

1050 versus 1000

You can also just get a 1000 CFM Carb to fit what you have. I think they can also be modified to reach even more CFM.

pump gas 800HP 545cid with P51 heads, engine builder wants 1050 cfm, so would rather trade out intake for Dom model than use an adapter.

Have a look here very simple...https://www.460ford.com/forum/showthr...ht=victor+mods
I did mine myself and I am no machinest by any means, very happy with it.
If your worried about the overlapped holes you could angle the carb a few degrees as well.

Well not so much. My machinist said that the 4150 would work fine especially since it's gonna be driven in the street. Gonna go with a quick fuel 1050cfm with the 4150 base. I do have another Victor 4150 intake though if your interested in buying one outright.

Dave, I'll dig it out of the shop and take a pic, might have an extra stealth out there too. What size engine/ head combo are you running?
