FYI, the SRP 150727 pistons are 4.390 bore forged flat tops with a -3cc valve relief. It's spec'ed on the SRP site as a 501ci motor using 4.14 crank with a 6.8 rod and is 1.42 c/h. May want to check the part number again because the math won't add correctly for a 10.3 block with 4.3 stroke crank in any standard ford (6.605, 6.7, 6.8) rod configuration.

1. Deck height 10.3
2. Bore 4.390
3. Stroke 4.3
4. Rod length 6.605
5. CC using C9VE heads 72cc
6. Piston dome -3
7. Pin height 1.420
Equals>>>>>>>>>>
1. Deck clearance 0.125 inches
2. Compression ratio 10.4:1
3. Rod ratio 1.54:1
4. Max rod angle 19 degrees
5. Displacement 520.7
So yes I did my numbers and homework and have this set up!

Never questioned your engine assembly skills. Just seems a bit low on the compression height than the FRPP 521 kit that Lem Evan's sells and will yield the same compression with a 28cc dish and a better compression height. Not sure you'd want to leave the piston .125 in the hole with a 10.3 deck height. Stock pistons were only .038ish in the hole with a 10.32ish deck height.

The original intent was to let others know what that piston p/n was originally for.

Reason for doing that is for more aggressive cam profiles and not worry about kissing the piston.

Garage
Shouldn't the compression height be 1.54 on those 521 Ford kits? Add up all the numbers and comes to 10.30. Maybe I'm wrong
