need some help - 460 Ford Forum

need some help

I've made it known that I'm new to Ford Motorsports, so with that said I'm talking to some one that has a 600"CI motor that he's telling me that it has all 8 cyls sleeved and that its a marine block with D3's that are done to the max any way what I wanna know is this standard pratice to sleeve the block to make that many cubes??????????
