If you end up building it yourself, I'd suggest S&W Race Cars. I've used several different companies over the years for different chassis kits and incidentals and these guys are great. For motor plates Keith Fulp is the man.

My Zephyr as a roller is $10,000, set up for a BBF and a glide. More than enough car to handle that HP. Four link, struts, full cage with funny car cage. 14 X 32's in the rear with 4.57's

John, I'll let my Mustang go for 8k as is and throw in a nice braced 9" housing with a 4 link setup. You buy the spool and axles and weld it all in and your ready to go and under 10k.
