D0VE-A BLOCK MAIN STUDS, ALIGN HONED, SQ DECKED, BORED, SOLD

(BLOCK IS SOLD)

Selling a really nicely prepared D0VE-A block, set up as follows:
  • 1970 D0VE-A 2-bolt Boss bulkhead block ($500)
  • Thermocleaned & magged ($75)
  • Align Honed ($125)
  • Square decked ($75)
  • ARP Main studs ($50)
  • Cam bearings + installed ($50)
  • .030" overbore & hone ($300)
  • New freeze plugs ($5)
  • Lifter valley vent holes deburred + drainbacks blended ($50)
  • May 4, 1970 casting date
  • Sprayed with anti-corrossion preservative.
Pictures below. Please note that the brown residue all over the block is not rust but is the anti-corrossion preservative that keeps the machined block rust free. All this block needs prior to assembly is to be washed and maybe a light bead hone (to be prudent) and that's it. Just add your .030-over rotating assembly and go!

All the above exceeds $1300 grand total. Offered to forum members first for $850 + shipping; will go to eBay if there are no takers by the end of the week or thereabouts. Block is located in the S.F. Bay Area California. I can personally deliver anywhere in the state as far north as Yuba City and as far south as Los Angeles, for a small fee (cheaper than any carrier).

Paul
p.s. reason for selling is that, 1) I am overstocked on cylinder blocks, and, 2) my current builds do not include the use of a D0VE-A block. So this prepped one is being made available to anyone that may need it more than I do.

Serious inquiries only, please.. PM me or call me at 310-435-1900

Paul, I was drooling over this block, but I figured the shipping cost to the right coast would have over-weighed the cost of the block. I found another one for my 521 build, and I'm getting a fresh .030 bore and cleaned. Good luck with the pending sale. 8)

Shipping across the country is just $46.02 per 100 lbs + 13% fuel surcharge...or about $150 +/-.

I have several more D0VE-A blocks, D1VE blocks and D9TE blocks that I will be listing at a later date(s). (Anyone interested in getting one, just PM me.)

Block

Paul money is on the way! I also was concerned about the shipping, but when I thought about crawling under another car to pull the motor only find out the block is no good shipping doesn't seem soo bad. I also wanted a dove block. I would like to say that Paul is a straight foward, honest bussiness man who takes time to talk too you.

What a steal for this block. I just saw this and the thought of snatching it up for my build came to mind. But, the timing is SLIGHTLY off. I will definately be hooking up with you when it is time. This is about what I want done to mine.

Chuck, thanks for the kind words...I just love these engines and am more than enthusiastic to help...and am happy to see the block used in an appropriate application. Just looked over at the block tonight in preparation for the mods and shipping...you'll be very happy with this baby.

Dmontzsta, I've got blocks for days and we'll pick you a good one for the circle boat...the chebby guys won't know what hit 'em. Your timing & budget works with my schedule and therefore to your advantage.

Paul
