Silence the Interior

I do not know if this is the correct place to post this, but it is a bit odd:

I've a 87 Jayco RV with a 460 in it. Rear end is short, so it whines as it's running around. With the engine pushed into the cab (cowling over it) it really makes it tough/loud to drive long distances - especially when towing the Mazda.

Anyone know of effective ways to help sound-proof this thing?

If this is in the wrong place, let me know and I'll move it - or admin, move it and lemme know.
