Doubling spacer between block n trans

My scat flexplate and edge converter do not leave enough space between converter and flex plate. Measurements leave .050 or so between them. If I add a second plate between the engine and bell housing I should be in spec. Is there any problem with this arraignment?

Have heard several guys doing exactly that . On one combo I did years ago i needed clearance I made up a new thicker plate in Aluminium
