stiff side wall slicks

I have a mustang coupe drag car that I bought as a roller. It has ladder bars with coil over rear suspension, 9" rear 4.11 gears 29.5x10.5 MT slicks on a 12" rim. The car has a sportsman 12 point cage w/ aftermarket K-member and coil over springs. My motor is a 466 BBF about 600 hp w/ c-6 4500 converter.
My question is will a soft sidewall slick work better on this set up than a stiff sidewall? I am running a stiff sidewall now.

Stay with the stiff sidewalls! Honestly I don't know very many people who run the standard "soft" sidewalls anymore! One question I have to ask is how much does the car weight? If it is lower than 2700 lbs, the softs might be ok, but for 2900+ lb cars then definately run the stiff sidewalls. Also, they are usually good for about 30 passes give or take. Watch your 60' times to know when they start falling off and that is a good indicator. If you need any help on this.... drop me an email or feel free to give me a call.
