Fuel Cell Mounting?

I have a 93 Foxbody Mustang notch. I need to buy a fuel cell. If you are familiar with the Foxbodys you will know that my 1993 has a molded in spare tire holder in the truck. I'm going to drag race this thing. Am I allowed to cut that spare tire holder out of the trunk and mount the fuel cell through the floor pan?

I was looking at this RCI unit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RCI-2150A/?rtype=10

Any thoughts on if this is a bad plan or not? If this is a bad plan don't beat me up to bad. Not to much time to research this stuff these days. So I thought I'd ask the guys that have done this before.

Thanks in advance.

The alumunim tanks may stick thru the floor. The plastic ones can't unless protected by metal.

Dad did exactly that with his fairmont wagon (foxbody also), built a sheet metal box to protect the cell (his is plastic). Been that way for years, nobody has said anything about it other than how close he comes to dragging it.
