429 engine, V-Drive Boat

429 in a classic v-drive flat bottom boat! I'm looking at putting a Lunati solid roller P/N 64030. Engine bored .030 @ 10.7 to 1, DOV-C heads slightly ported and milled .035, roller rockers, guide plates w/stud gurdle, Weiand tunnel w/ dual 660's, Vertex mag with advance curve and Bassett collector headers w/mufflers, I'm looking for 6500 rpm max.

Am I thinking right with this camshaft?

Thank You, John

I don't know about the cam, but from my experience, I think that you'll need more carb.

Kind of a small camshaft but the tunnel ram and OT headers will somewhat help that. The heads will have to be well ported and the tunnel ram will definitely need work in the plenum.

#4224 660's atop a tunnel ram that is bolted to a 429 should be adequate for 6500 rpm but they do drink gas. 750s with progressive secondaries would give good top end power too and better fuel economy.
