Header choices/theory

The time has come to address headers. I have a 95gt/523"/4r70 combo. For time and money, I'd really like to avoid the custom route. But, I can't find anybody that says their long tubes are hassle free on this combo. Unless you guys have found some. Do tell.
I am looking for 2" primaries to mate to 3" exhaust. D&D Auto Specialties has long and mid length headers, but can't vouch for problem free long tubes on my combo. Hence, the another question. NOTEkeyboard on my puter is trashed, some letters don't function. Use a "V" in place of the letter that's betveen "v" & "x". lol)
Vould going up to 2 and eighth mid length headers make up for vhat I vill lose in performance by not using 2" long tubes? Sounds like I am speaking vith a german accent, don't it? lol Thanks.

Why do you think that a set of headers made for a c-6 will not fit a 4r70w? I have a 4r70w behind my turbo 351, it is a big trans but so is a c-6.
