MSD 7 CD Ignition. What Pickup & Coil??

Will an MSD 7 CD ignition work with an MSD distributor as the pickup instead of the flying magnetic crank trigger and can a Blaster 2 coild be used with it as well?

As long as it isn't a crank trigger distributor.

I'm not sure what a crank trigger distributor is. The distributor I would like to use it with is a MSD-8577 magnetic trigger. So I'm guessing that this distributor will work MSD 7 CD ignition box?

And thanks for the reply by the way..

Yeah, that one will work fine. A crank trigger distributor doesn't have anything but a locked out spinning rotor inside. The trigger in it would be the "crank trigger". In the 8577 it has a magnetic trigger inside with a mechanical advance.
