A460 Fox headers

building a 532 with A 460 heads flat top motor with nitrous drag only . I want to run headers out the front to avoid all the issues I already have that are going to get worse , ground clearance , trailer loading , smashed headers and make working on the car easier . My question is will you lose that much HP by not running a longer equal length header? Stainless has some down and forward 2 1/2 primary turbo headers that I could build off of but they do not have equal length primaries . Turbo is possibility in future so these headers would put me ahead of the game already . Any thoughts ?

In a word, yes....

There are plenty of opinions on header building and the experts won't chime in as there are a few secrets out there.

However, I am a huge fan of forward facing headers but I'm a chassis guy. There ARE compromises that will need to be made. Heat, weight in front of spindle, length, etc are things to think about.
