Parachute origin ?????

I took in this parachute as part of a deal a few days ago and I'm trying to figure out just what the heck it is.........
It's an 11 1/2' cross.
Has a hand written '2-93' written inside on one of the seams (I'm guessing the manufacture date).
At the attachment point it has hand written '48020' .
It has a silver (Nomex?) sleeve from the attachment point back toward the chute that's about 5' long.
It's red.
Here's the head scratcher part....It has a McDonald's logo sewn onto it.
I spoke to someone that knows more about the corporate racing world and he said it might be from the Jim Yates Pro Stock endeavor?????????
Anyone got a clue??

I would hate for some of those parts you need to accidently get misplaced in the garage somewhere! LMAO!!!

I'm just messing with you!
If nothing else, I am a man of my word! If a part did get lost, I'm the type that would buy one to replace it to keep the deal we made the same, lol... Just the way I am!

I just gave a set of copper flange gaskets away for shipping costs. Figured 4 bucks would cover it so I told him to just toss me 4 bucks. Turns out it will be 5.80 to ship. But I'm helping someone out so the couple bucks is no big deal.... just the way I am

Just like you with the shift light!!

Guys like us are getting hard to find.... but I think most of them are on this site! hahaha

Let me know what you find out... curiosity got the cat wanting to know!!!

It could also be one ( of the two used) from the old Cruz Pedregon McDonalds funny car or the Top Fuel car ( Cory Mac ?). Size would be the determining factor.

There's a chance that the 48020 means just that, a dual chute set up. I've been told that a 43030 is a single chute set up. I'm almost sure it was manufactured in Feb. of '93. Who had a Mikky D sponsorship in '93?

Lol, it is. New, never used. I'm sure that they made more than just 1 or 2 for a season and it didn't get used. Then they sell off the unused ones (maybe?)

I was just on the Stroud site and the model numbers look like it may be one of theirs. Trouble is is that they only list up to a 470 model (for Fuel and Alcohol Funnies) and this model says 480. The plot thickens......

Cruz had Mickey D's on Larry Minnor's Olds in 93. The Ace was driving Minnor's top fuel fuel car that year. Cory Mac was running the Mac Attack Top Fuel car in 93.

Joe Gibbs also had a Mickey D's pro stock car in 93 driven by Jim Yates.
