Header tether NHRA's Hands in your pocket

It has come to light by a vendor from ebay. I had ordered a "header tether" for my ET bracket/AFX clone car. any way after a problem came up with shipping.
This is part of the reply to my inquiry:

Seller's message:

"I do not think it is a $$$$$ game at all but you can believe that. The thing you do not see is lokar does have a pat. on the tether and they are going after the cheaper ones out there and after all they told us taht is why we stopped selling the cheaper one as sooner or later they will not be NHRA approved when lokar gets done so the money people think they are saving now they will have to buy the better ones down the road.Plus side by side they do not compare for $75.00 more they are well worth it as they are made better they are 100% way better Quality and well worth it.
LETS SEE NHRA TALK THEIR WAY OUT OF THIS STORY?
