Question 8.8 Rearend With 9" ends

I have a set of axles I been running , that are 35 spline with c-clip elem's.... I'm wanting to press on a 9" bearing.. Moser told me they had to machine off the ring where the 9" bearing would stop , to use the clip elem's... Said I could still use my axles, but would have to press on some kind of ring for a stop... Anyone know what I could use here.... And anyone know where the 9" bearing would rest at for as measurement when pressing it on ????

and if you are going to put 9" bearings on your axles, you will have to cut off the 8.8 axle ends and weld on 9" axle ends

I believe they call that the wedding band. It's a press fit to hold the bearing on. Where it ends up depends on the distance the axle face needs to be from the housing end for your brake set up.
