Ramblings for more power

I have a 1990 F350 S/C dually 5spd that I run a big cabover camper on and will use to tow a 5th wheel or TT also. It does great for what it is but I want more power and from what I can tell from all my reading, the SD EFI isn't up to the job for makin big hp and tq numbers. Soooo...what about doing an Edelbrock powerpack 2045 on it with a bolt on EFI like the FITech 30005 kit? Do you think it would make the 500+ hp and 500+ tq that the kit is capable off? I don't have to worry about passing smog, although it would probably pass the tailpipe.

What do you think?

Move your question to engine tech and you'll get better response

Depends where you need the power, but generally for a towing or low rpm application, nothing beats a stroker. EFI in and of itself does nothing to increase power.

I know that, I was just trying to stay FI for the "self-tuning" it does on the fly vs a carb. This truck is almost always around 5 tons and I was looking for better hill climbing power.
