Indy Racers! Friday nite heads up!

ORP will have one friday night a month in 2011 with a heads up program if car count and fans participate. this is great! Purse is guaranteed.

Here are the TENATIVE rules, nothing is set in stone... changes can be made, in fact the whole prgram is tenative at this point, but it seems to be gaining some momentum! Again these are tenative rules ORP is kicking around to see if it is a fit.

o Doors

Pro Street – An old school, big tire, Hot Rod class
o 1/8th mile heads-up pro tree racing
o 3000 lbs SB, 3200 lbs BB, 2600 lbs N/A, deduct 200 lbs for N2O
o Any single style power adder OK
o Gas or Methanol OK
o Mufflers, working headlights and taillights
o Firewall in stock location
o Chassis cars must have factory quarters and roof
o Minimal advertising permitted on body

True Street – Stock suspension, max effort small tire racing
o 1/8th mile heads-up pro tree racing
o 3000 lbs SB, 3300 lbs BB, deduct 400 lbs N/A, deduct 250 lbs for N2O
o Any single style power adder OK
o 10.5 non “W” slick or 315/325 radial max tire
o Stock type front suspension, direct bolt-on replacements OK, any rear suspension
o Stock frame rails required (notching OK)
o Mufflers, working headlights and taillights
o Stock appearing dash with two seats and carpet
o Glass hood, bumpers, deck, doors, and fenders OK
o Minimal advertising permitted on body
o No wheelie bars

All Motor – A normally aspirated, non-power adder class
o 1/4th mile heads-up pro tree racing
o 2900 lbs SB, 3150 lbs BB
o Add 100lbs for multiple carbs
o Add 150lbs non-conventional heads
o No power adders allowed
o Mufflers, working headlights and taillights
o Stock appearing dash with two seats and carpet
o Chassis cars must have factory quarters and roof
o Minimal advertising permitted on body

Pro Bike – A street bike shootout class
o mile heads-up pro tree racing
o Bike must be self starting (no pushing or external starters)
o Street legal DOT tires only
o No wheelie bars

10.0/11.50/12.50 – Indexes open to all door cars
o 1/4 mile heads-up pro tree index racing
o 1st or worst rules apply

Rules subject to revision to ensure parity.

I am definitely interested. They only question I have now is "Will they also have a points program?"

Awesome to find out something like this exists near by! I am located in Noblesville. A few friends and I have been looking for a group doing track days, etc.
