Just curious to see how many members are going. It would be a good time to try to meet a few people. I am planning on being there both days & I know Rick(FordTek1) is going to be there also. I am guessing Chilly will be there since it is in his neck of the woods. Try to find out who's going & get some cell numbers to get in touch with each other at the track.Kind of hard locating people with alot of cars there. I imagine it is going to be a good turn out if mother nature doesn't decide differrent.Just figured I would see what everybody thinks.

Man, I thought this post would get more replys than this. So far I see it is Rick,Shannon, & myself going. I guess we have to make the BBF's look good all by ourselves. Anyway , is there anybody else planning on attending? Phil(466Fox) are you & your dad coming up? Figured that there are going to be a butt load of SBF's so we need to offset those numbers a little bit. Hope to see you there. :D

I will just be in the bracket class. My tube chassis don't fit anything other than mabe Pro 5.0. I looked at running open comp but I haven't footbrake raced in so long, I know I would suck!!! Plus I don't know how I would stage & launch w/o the transbrake. That would be a learning experience. Shannon, I see you are going to make the"LONG" tow from Texas. What day do you have to leave next week to get here?

Also sent you a PM

You see....that's the beautiful part of this new Ultra Stang class. I don't have to tow anywhere. The class is set up for 2005/06 Mustangs...both V6 and V8. I've been flying in to the races, renting a V6 Mustang and winning races. So far....I'm up three wins in four races. Keeps me from tying up my Thunderbird-build cash on new Mustang payments. Can't be wasting valuable big block money on a new car. Hell....the chassis kit from Bickel was bad enough!

Now when the Bird is done......that's a tow. Last time I drove to Richmond it was over 17 hours. Pain in the butt too. I hate that drive. But the absolute worst is Epping, New Hampshire. I will never again tow that far to a damned drag race. Ever!

that just means the cool, frosty beverages will last longer for us. Where is everybody else gonna be? Surely they aren't going to VMP this weekend?

"Mr. Wheeler, would you like the optional coverage?"

"Yes I do!"

The "Rent-A-Racer" tag will be even worse at the Epping, Fontana, and Phoenix FFW races. I've reserved the Hertz Shelby GT-H for those events. The V6 cars have been pretty good to me but I'm wanting to give the Shelby a try.

Don't worry about the "beverages". Where I'm pitted.....it's like a never-emptying cooler.

better be next to us! but don't worry, we'll have our own coolers also.

Chris,
Is your car legal for Pro? With the absence of cars we've had you might think about it.
would be cool to see, but he's running alky-haul.

Actually my chassis is certified to SFI Spec 25.4. Chassis is identical to a VPRC 25.1E except mine is MS. But I will say that if I pulled in the staging lanes with the Pro 5.0's, you wouldn't be able to tell mine wasn't one of them. Plus I aint taking my alky off for nobody!!! I would cry if I had to switch back to a carb & gas!! Gotta love those fumes!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have everything but but the beadlocks. I run the Goodyear 2556's on 15" dia. X 16" w Aluma Stars w/ screws. The car went a best of 1.17 60', 5,38@130 1/8 mile, & 8.54@160 in the 1/4. Not bad for A429 CJ heads & weighing 2600 lbs w/driver. Sykes Brothers Cylinder heads are in the process of working a set of C&C Motorsports hemi heads for me. But until then, the wedge will have to do. :D

I found out last night what I need to do before then :D We went to Richmond Dragway last night for the AED Street Wars. Car definitely likes nitrous :D but my miss on the upper end is back and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get rid of it. But with a miss about 100ft from the stripe, which was making me lift, I still ran a 10.32 @119mph :D :D :D
