I have a PC980 in my dragtruck. It hasn't been touched in years, but it powered the winch on my trailer and dragged the truck up on the trailer. I think that is pretty good to have not been charged since the factory and sat for 3 years.

I use the 1200 in my drag car and it works great.

Highly recommended, with a couple of caveats.

The cases are polycarbonate, and are not compatible with petroleum products. The importer takes a very hard stand on not warrantying batteries with damage caused by petroleum contact. Also, they produce a lot of power, but for just a short period (maybe around five seconds or so).

A couple of very positive attributes are that they, unlike lead acid batteries, hold a charge almost indefinitely. Another is that the charge condition can be determined by the voltage. They come with an instruction manual that defines the amount of charge as a function of voltage.

All in all, they are hard to beat in any type or racing environment. A little more costly than lead acid, but certainly worth it.

A single "525" starts my 15:1 Donovan 518 cid right up.

I dont like them i bought the PC925 and the ad doesnt tell you that the cold cranking amps were only 380 it did have good power but only for a few seconds if you run your electric fan and WP in the staging lanes to kool down during round robin be careful that killed it more than once fast too and no bottle heater for sure upside is their lite and recharge fast.It just didnt work for me theres a reason you dont see them everywhere at the track.

Heck maybe i'll give it another try then everybody says yes but me i dont have nitrous on the big block mustang so no heater to worrie about.Do any of you guys run a electric fan and water pump in the lanes to kool down without the engine running? No matter what its not good for a bottle heater it took way too long to get the bottle up to pressure compared to a regular battery.
