Big D (Denaro Erby) and his son Wesley met us at Gateway this weekend for Pinks All Out!! I had alot of fun this weekend and really enjoyed meeting you guys. We made a tree killer out of Wesley!! My friend Perrin Maysey and his son Austin went with me. Austin and Wesley had a great time together, they played on the practice tree for hours on end  Big D thought he was in heaven thursday night , it was pretty hot there and we went in the motorhome and the air was kickin.....He was very happy to find out we weren't going to be sleeping in a sauna  I want to say thanks to all my friends in our camp this weekend...Big D and Wesley for coming and hangin out with us...Damon and Tracie for everything and the Margarita's.....Bill Mitchell for the laughs and Always valuable info and good conversation(not the purple chevelle talk) Chuckzilla..always a hoot to hang out with.....he's like an over grown Rodney Carrington  Their buddy Rodney and Chuck's Dad.....I laughed my azz off with those two...I thought we gonna have pizza????You had to be there to understand that!!Thanks for the memories everyone..I can hardly wait for the bash now

Tweety makes the big time!

It was nice to hear that Ford sent down one of their big guns (Denaro) to give you a hand at Pinks! There aren't many sportsman racers that get factory support. I saw that Gateway had a picure of your car on their website. It's not only very photogenic, it truly is one bad ride. You might not have made the 16, but the national TV exposure your going to get is going to be almost as good. I can't wait too see this episode of Pinks All out!

Thanks Gary, the car is a crowd pleaser for sure. If I had a dollar for every pic took of it in the last 3 years I could probably retire now.I am lucky to have the Ford Factory support out of Detroit  As far as the national exposure, I hope it draws some big sponsors  It'll be a blast just to see my work of art on TV 8)

Congrats

Dan congratulations on getting interviewed. I was the one on the mini chopper that stopped by to say hi. I was wondering what the Pinks All Outtakes Feature Cars deal was all about. I got selected to run that round also but no one came to interview me. Might have been because I was pitted way past the finish line. We all had a blast there this weekend. I was a little disappointed that they picked 10.40's since I was running 10.30's though. Damon got a bum deal on the wheelie contest. They quit running it right when he was about to run. Nice to meet some of you. Mike

Dan, Yes that was my car. I heard there was a lot of foot traffic in the pits. We kind of missed out on that since we were pitted so far down the track. There still was a ton of people that stopped by but not as many as at your prime pit location I'm sure. I guess I should have gotten out of bed earlier Friday. Later.

Thanks for the kind words DanO. I was just too beat down yesterday to reply. I had a freaking ball with Dan, his friend Perrin and his son Austin. All the guys were just great, Damon and Tracie ( thanks for that cup of Joe, Tracie ) Big Chuck, Bill Mitchell and the rest of Damon's crew. Chuck is a lot bigger than them damn pictures... I tell ya that!

Bruno, just wait until you meet DanO. He is the real deal. Everything he told me, he made sure it came to be. Too bad Nate and the guys picked a class that didn't feature Dan or Damon OR NONE OF THE GUYS ALL AROUND US! I still had the time of my life! Dan can't wait until November :D

My son Wesley had a ball also, when he wasn't asleep (the ride home) all he could do was talk about how great Austin was. They played together from sun up to sun down, long after I had gone to bed. He enjoyed the camaraderie and meeting the BBF family.

Whoever is going to the bash I say stop over at Dan Hobbs trailer and have a beer on him. It will be well worth it. If you do stop by, ask him to tell you the story of how he broke his neck!!!!

To sum up my trip to the most southern part of IL. I wouldn't give back those three days for anything in the world. DanO & Damon are as different as any two men you can find on this planet. But they are the same in this family we call 460ford.com Both are kind hearted and have gentle spirits and both are giants in our sport.

Damon is like the shop teacher that asked you how was your weekend guys and then explain how you were going to go about taking the exhaust off the car.

DanO is like the shop teacher that said get over to the damn car and rip that exhaust out of there.

This is just another great memory in my life to cherish for ever!

Big D , I can hardly wait for November myself(D's bringing his car to me for paint and wiring),then we're going 4-wheeling and goofing off  This was a great weekend, not really much racing as I consider racing ,but a hell of alot of fun with some wonderful friends and getting to showcase my car  I wish we could've stayed a week, but the beer tab would've been insane  And we'd had to bought a football for Austin and Wesley  But then T.J.(pitbull pup) couldn't have played  You kids in Detroit had better watch out if Denaro gets Wesley a Jr. Dragster...he's been taught by the best on the tree  Take care D and everyone..see ya at the Hollow(Bash)
