Called the guy to ask what manufacture his timing chain cover is.45$ starting bid, looks blue anodized. So I call the number. I ask, Hi, I am looking at this thing, can you tell who makes it?

"I dont know!" he says with serious bad attitude right off the bat.

"Uh, I'm sorry?" I say

"What do you want for 45$?" he says

"I thought that was just starting bid, not buy it now?"

"Whatever, now what do you want?"

"Hey buddy, I thought this thing looked cool, being blue and all,,,

"it's not blue!"

So now I got to ask him what his problem is, why the bad tude?

"Go to Pepboys!" he tells me, hangs up

If I was in person I would of hugged his ***, rude rude rude SOB

several years ago I tried to get a pair of BT ford exhaust heads from him called he said sure I have 2 sets. I said I want a set will have check out in 10 mins ok. 4 days later he called and ask what this check was for, I said the BT ford exhaust port heads  , you have 2 sets I called and said I wanted a set he said I sold them didn't think you were serious...
I ask what does I want a set and check in the mail in 10 minutes mean??? He told me to bad first come first serve, so I bought TFS streets instead.. I will never deal with him again.....

Randy

PS he will probably be here later and contradict your and my story he always does...

I posted the conversation almost word for word. Let him say what he wants. He knows what he did.

I have no tolerance for rude people.

He probably does just need a hug, and a happy meal.

Yeah I did a forum search of dsc, sounds like the guy has some bad days.

Sucks to be him.

As far as hugging goes, I am trying to be a kinder more gentle, big block ford enthusiast.

Can't just go around dropping every guy who lacks decent social graces, then the world would be a better place and we'd have nil to complain about.

I've talked to that guy on the phone before when a customer with an FE bought some stuff from him. He seemed ok to me and he treated this guy right and sent exactly what he needed for a good price too. Maybe he only likes you if you have an FE :)

Maybe he's bipolar? I am, but I still manage to be decent to people.

If he does show up to address this, he can attest that I didn't swear at him nor threaten him once. Remarkable restraint on my part, even though he hung up before I could get too fired up.

I think he won though. He has 3 sweet not-blue timing covers, and mines still broke, but at least it's blue.

maybe he thinks you sound like one of his in laws? just a thought. no idea really. Call him up again and see if he just mistook you for someone else. Give everybody a second chance, mighta just been a bad hair day for him..... ring him again... then if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck....... drop his ***.

I've bought some stuff from him on EBay and I had absolutely no issues dealing with DSC. Excellent communication, the stuff arrived in a timely manner, was well packaged and were exactly as described in the auction. I would deal with DSC again.

Not really, Randy. You're the type of "WHINER" that Phil Gramm was referring to, I believe. If you wanted a set of Heads, you should've used a Credit Card or PayPal, like everyone else does(did) when I tell them that when these are gone, they're gone.

In any case, you GOT your uncashed check back. All it cost ME was a postage stamp, WHINER!!.

By the way, I haven't missed your buisness at all as I'm sure you haven't missed not dealing with me.

Just to set the record straight:

I live on 3 acres up in the Nat'l Forest out here.

I own the 9 acre parcel next door to avoid having "WHINERS" like you moving in as my neighbors.

I had a 5,000 square foot building constructed for DSC, as paying a lease would have caused prices to rise faster than they have for my GOOD customers, and also to house the parts inventory I have acquired and strive to replenish, along with some toys.

Houses in California generally don't have basements(mine doesn't).

My Garage is filled with parts, toolboxes and a race boat.

My "Pleasure Boat"(only goes 9.80 @ 109), and my 66 Comet with FE power, are housed in my main building.

Now, next time you want to "WHINE", you'll be armed with the correct information.

I don't sell KLEENEX Randy, but there are other "WHINERS" on this Forum that can supply you're needs, I'm sure.

Thanks so much for brightening my day.

Too bad about your leaky Timing Cover.

I told you it was made by Pioneer, that it was $45.00, that it was new and that it wasn't Blue. When you wanted to argue, I told you to go to Pep Boys. Maybe your BUD Randy has one that leaks a little less than your's. I'm sure he'll be happy to hook you up.

As far as dropping me, that may turn out to be an unnecessarily strenuous act on your part(don't want to see you get hurt or strain anything) after the fact.

I've already decided NOT to do business with you. That's why I cleared my phone line.

Thanks for your call, and your post. Dennis

The more I hear from "car people" the more it reminds me of why I've decided to pretty much forget hot rods as my hobby. The other reason is lack of $ right now and concentrating on other parts of life, but rarely do I see more bitter and grumpy guys all hanging out in the same area. Not everyone is like that, but there's a few in almost every group and it gets old. I guess whatever makes you folks feel better about yourselves...

Rude and a liar

sucks to be you

The truth is me and the other chumps who posted about our dealings with you, we are just mean. So we all got together and chose some vendor off of Ebay at random, and decided to make some stuff up. That's what we do.

Being a new guy and going back to read all the previous threads and posts. All I gotta say is.... whoa.

Being the internet and all, anyone can say anything and I take most things with a grain of salt but with responses from the seller like that I'm inclined to believe the other side. Regardless if your being attacked or not you got a serious attitude problem.

Pick your hobby whatever it is and you'll find there's the same type of people - not just hot-rodders/car people have this sort of thing.
