I know many of you have older trucks.

Maybe you can answer a question for me.

Will it work?

Just how much modification would I have to make to pull it off?

If I stick with the frame that came with the 1950, I'm going to have to put a new front suspension under it, as well as replace the rear.

I have access to a frame for a 53 model that I wouldn't have to change anything on. It already has an IFS front suspension, disc brakes and a 8" rear.

Which is easier? Make the Cab fit the 53 frame or rework the 50 frame?

It it my understanding that the frames of the F-1
s are the same from 49-56. The F-2 and F-3's are 3/4 of an inch taller.

I would much rather change some mounts on a frame from the 53 if they are different but I honestly believe it will be a bolt on swap.

About 15 years ago when I was in HS I had a 50 F1 (w. 460 btw  ) and I installed a Plymoth Volare front end myself.... Easy conversion due to the complete and compact K member.
(They're a tortion bar front.)

If my memory is correct, the F1 & F100 frames are different. The body mount's may be easily changed, however........... If A High Schooler can install an IFS...... anyone can.
My vote is to stick with your current frame, and buy a fatman kit or something equivelent.
