New to the group and new to the working on your own vehicle. So speak likebtou are talking to an idiot when it comes to mechanics. 1979 F150 460 2wd. After vacuum leaks and running ruff when its hot, replaced the intake manifold with a weiand 8012. Cold start is awesome, idol is awesome, initial drive is awesome, about a mile. Then it runs ruff, like missing. Fights to get over 30mph and shifts hard and slow. Idol at stop is then ruff, but doesn't die. Best i can do is google amd YouTube. I gambled and replaced the ignition control module, but didn't help. Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Check your timing. Sounds like your temp controlled vacuum switch, should be located on the thermostat housing,is opening and providing vacuum to the advance, changing timing. Make sure those vacuum hoses are connected correctly.
