Hello, I am currently working with a 1982 Ford motor home with a 460, and here in Colorado springs the elevation is mile high, and the carb I am currently trying to install is from sea level, which would be more efficient for the motor to remove smog pump and tune carb that way or try to live with the vacuum advance
Also how good of the motor is it? Any thing I should keep an eye on?

At your altitude the less than 8 to 1 static c/r is killing you.

A straight up timing set and a properly curved distributor along with an efficient exhaust system will go a long way toward making your engine more efficient at higher altitude.

We typically add a point of static c/r above 5000'
