Hi folks,

Does anyone know if the ibeams in a 1985 F350 2wd kingpin front axle are forged or cast? I was in a collision and one of mine is bent. If it's forged, I can straighten it. If not, it's junk. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks

They are forged. Here is an article about it:
Thanks! I was thinking about straightening it, but there's alot of good ones in junkyards around me, so I'll just put one of those in there. There's probably no way I was going to get it straight enough anyway.

Groovy thanks! I already have one coming from somewhere in Nebraska. It might have cost 200 bucks.

The alignment shops would bend them to get the right castor and camber.
