evap code wont keep it from starting or running,do you have spark and fuel pressure?
you can pull a coil and stick a plug in it and ground the plug to see if you got spark or use a spark tester.

Depending on which side of the fuel system the leak is on, it could be a vacuum leak.

The canister should be either on one of the front framerails, was passenger side on foxes, or it is back by the rearend housing/spare tire well.

I would have it smoke tested, you then aren't wasting a pile of cash chasing something that should have or could have been fixed with a $.50 piece of hose.

Thanx guys...i'll look near the spare tire well.......Broncman brings up a good point....it runs when you are using throttle but wont idle...How do I find that solenoid?....Then i had a lapse in reason....I was going to take it in to a guy to check out but I had disconnected the battery when i was messing with it and cleared the codes.....so it was pointless to take it in...have to wait until the light pops on again....thing is it ran good when I reconnected the battery.........D

Idle air solenoid is attached to the front side of the throttle body elbow. If it sticks like that again take a small wrench and whack the cylinder part of the solenoid. That will free up the solenoid and allow the engine to idle. You need to change that thing though. They are cheap enough. Takes about three minutes to do the swap.

Sure sounds like someone can't find the right part. With that kind of price, you should get the fuel filler tube too!!!

Yeah, I think I'd resort to getting some flat rubber, tracing the filler attaching point, and cutting my own gasket out. You may want to try a few different Ford dealers to see if you can get a better price than that and make sure they're even quoting the right part.
