This convertor is a restalled factory unit done by Daaco / Transtar. It has a V6 stator, HD sprag, thrust bearings instead of washers and the turbine and impellor fins modified for specific stall. We have had outstanding results with these units though due to core shortages they are no longer available.

I always preferred the large diameter of the oem convertors because they don't slip as much at highway speeds. I have one in my LTD now. Ordered a 3000 stall (supposed max) and due to the car's weight and the torque I produce it flashes to 3450.

Did you ever find the large pilot convertor you need?
