the place on the block to bolt up the mounts is the same on all the 460/429 blocks right? To put the 460 in my 85 f 150 with a 302 I ordered the frame mounts for an 85 f250 with a 460 from ford and the mounts that actually go on the engine from orielly's. the mounts that go on the engine from orielly's there is no way in hell those will fit on the engine. A 460 block is a 460 block right? is that a different pattern on the block for this engine? it came out of a 77 licoln. maybe i just have the wrong engine mounts on the block side?????

any help would be appreciated.

There is a block plate that you need that adapts the rubber mount to the block. The truck mounts are multi-peice. I have a pair somewhere... I'll try to get the part #'s tomorrow. There is a left, and right side Part #. Not sure the parts are available any more.

All 429-460 blocks have the same mount hole locations.

For what you're spending on parts from the dealer, you can get exactly what you need from L&L Products. They can also tell you in detail what is required for that swap.

Have a good day!
