Recently I've seen some pictures on ebay of complete 429 motors that have the alternator mounted down low on the passenger side, and appear to be driven off the crankshaft. Does anybody know where I can find these brackets?

Those I believe were on the earlier models. Mine is a C9VE from a 69 LTD I believe and it's mounted like that. Has two pulleys on the crank, one for the alternator and one for the power steering.

I would look for a 68 or 69 BB car, they also ran the shorter waterpump.

Hope that helps.

I have a kit from a 68 T-bird along with the short water pump
you'll need the crank pulley, alt bracket assy and pump and pulley
It's all unique 68-69 stuff

Pm me and we work out a deal

All the car motors were mounted low. They won't work on some 4x4 trucks because it hits the crossmember. The 68-69 deal has the pulley grooves in the balancer.

RE

Thanks for the reply's. I'll have to do some more digging. One listing I saw on ebay was a 429 from an 80's F700 truck, but those aren't easy to come by
