I need a little help. I friend has some heads off of a late 60's early 70's car. The casting # is C8VE-E. From what I have found on the internet these are pretty good heads. Has anyone ran these? Are they worth a crap? Any info would be great. Thanks Jesse.

They're great heads...

Port the exhaust and add larger valves...possibly clean up the intakes depending on your application and you'll be all set. They're already set up for screw in studs, they provide nice compression...a great package.

Heads

While they are pretty much garden variety castings those old heads can run good and be quite acceptable for a mild application. These engines were fitted with pretty good heads for a production engine, while they are not without their faults they are actually much better than most of the competition's similar pieces.
