New to the BBF stuff... Scored a 429 SCJ with the DOOE-R heads...

What the best and economical way to make power with these engines?

How far can I stroke the engine. It came with a dual quad tunnel ram intake. Street manners aren't really necessary. Looking to throw at least one stage and possibly a second stage of nitrous via a fogger system.

Its going in a 89 Mustang Hatch for now and probably will eventually end up in my 69 Torino GT Fastback.

Thanks,

Brian

Awesome heads with very little port work. Most blocks can handle 557 cubic inches without any issues, some will go 572. No clearancing or anything special needed. 2-bolt mains and factory bolts are fine with 800+HP. 4-bolt conversions are available if you want to step it up from there.

Well went yesterday and picked it up. I sealed the deal pretty much sight unseen. The block is a 71 CJ 2 bolt with SCJ DOOE-R heads and a 4U crank. Sent the block crank and heads off to the machine shop to get tanked and fluxed for cracks... Will know Monday or Tuesday the out come... Might just assemble the motor and sell it or sell as is...
