I'll be installing a new Edelbrock performer intake on my friends 87 Ford 460. The old cast intake used a one piece intake/valley pan type splash shield set up. What type and or gaskets should I use with this newer intake? Can I get away not using any splash shield like original? The 1987 460 has been rebuilt and is going back in my friends daily use F350 P/U. He is the original owner of this truck. need your help please.
thanks.

Intake Gaskets

You can use gaskets with the pan or gaskets without. Just use sealant on the water openings and gasgacinch on the port mating surfaces. Some use the rubber end seals others use silicone. Kinda up to you!
