460 Long Block FS - made 290 RWHP, 385 ft. lbs.

Previous owner had the shortblock professionally rebuilt in 1998 to 1983 factory spec. Not sure what the cast number is on the block, but it's internally balanced (pre '79?). Bored .40 over. Previous owner didn't finish their project, sold the motor to me. I added and ported the C8 heads per Scott Johnston's site (pictures of the port work are at the link below). After I ported them, I delivered them to a local machine shop for final cleanup work and assembly.

* Combination has less than 1500 miles on it since I put it together around 2001-2002.
* Never spun harder than 5800 RPM.
* ~15 chassis dyno passes in it's lifetime.
* ~15 drag strip passes in it's lifetime.
* Driven to a few local and ~200 mile meets.

You will find a dyno video, pictures of the port work, a dyno sheet and other relavent stuff.

What you're getting:

Long block with fox conversion oil pan, cam of Scott Johnston design (.492 Intake lift, .523 exhaust lift, 217.7 intake duration, 230.1 exhaust duration), ported C8 heads, stock valvetrain with positive locks, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, Holley Street Avenger 770 Carb, Aussie double roller adjustable timing set, aftermarket harmonic balancer (can't remember what brand), 83 Ford truck timing cover, 83 Ford truck water pump.

Not included: distributor, coil, plug wires, valve covers, oil dipstick, flywheel.

Motor is still in the car and can be heard or driven.

Looking for $3000 for the whole package.
