I know this has come up befor but i cannot make sence of any of it. I have a D1VE block and a NP435. i got a clutch and flywheel for a 78 460 and a 351M bell housing. when i put it together it did not spin but from reading on the forums i figered out that i need to space it back, now my thought is that if i get a 460 bell housing do i need to change the clutch? Its a brand new 12 in and i dont want to have to buy a new one. I dont want to have to space the bellhousing back. Will this work? Like i said im sorry if its been talked about but this is my first project and its been a lot harder then i thought.

The 12 should work in the 460 bellhousing, it's been a long time but if my memory serves me correct an 11 is the biggest that will fit in the M bell and has to be the finger style not the diaphram style. Me and my dad went through this but was almost 20 years ago. Try the search option I know it has been discussed on here before. I don't want to give the wrong advice.
