hello im new here and my first time. my question is is there a difference between 460 car and light truck (f-100 to 350) engines and 460s found in larger heavy duty trucks. particualrythe crank or block where the pilot bushing fits in the end of the crank. if there is a difference, will the heavy duty crank fit in the car block. thanks for the help. im semi retired and worked as a mechanic all my life, but specialized in gm mostly.

Welcome here
Interesting question but I don't have the answer, someone here will know. I had thought that a given year would have the same crank, car and truck. I think that the early years cranks had a larger for bushing 1.80 or so and then went to 1.300 or so, at some point.

I think that the op wants info on the 460 only crank, found in light trucks and cars,

edit: yep, big trucks too
