Thank You for the compliments, I am very proud of this combo but figured with the intelligent people on this board they might be able to help me find a few more ponies.

Custom Cam Research solid roller cam 285/295 advertised duration 775 lift (I think)

I know this isn't as impressive as several builds on here but I am proud of what I built. Dont beat me up to much but any suggestions on things I can improve on this combo?
Very nice. Real good power on 495 inches and Iron heads.

Gary,

I guess the special dyno carb and headers don't apply to cast scj engines , only TFS Streets

Lghning94,

You did a good job, nice numbers. old school Fords still get it done.

Thanks again guys I appreciate all the compliments. The Iron heads are required in my class otherwise i wouldve went with aluminum heads(would've been much cheaper also).

Are those numbers from the dyno with the headers you intend to run?
It seems they might be a little long simply judging by the torque curve numbers.
Good combination though...!

No that was with the dyno headers. Can you explain this? I want to get custom headers built so more knowledge would help.

I believe longer header tubes (before they reach the collector) will create more back-pressure resulting in more torque. I think its minimal amounts though.

Some one correct me if im wrong...

Better late than never. I didn't see this post before. :D

Getting that last 40 hp is the most expensive.

An 1150 Quick Fuel from Lem done up for your combo will help.

Send your intake and heads to Bret Powell, PFC Engines, to get them dialed in and working together. It will take his expertise to find those last cfms to get the job done.

Just in case you have a high dome: Having a dome no higher than .100 and shaving the heads to 68cc will get you about 14 to 1. The lower dome helps make more power than a tall dome.

Ask Bret about the cam and headers. ;)

Hope that helps,

Dave
