564 A-Head engine, 4.65x4.15, IDT block, Scat billet crank, Groden alum rods, Ross 14/1 pistons, Bullet .962/.883 cam, Crower .904 lifters, Danny Bee belt drive, Peterson external oil/vacuum pump, Driver side starter, TFS A460 heads with copper berrilium seats, 2.4/ 1.88 titanium valves, 55* valve seats , Jesel rockers, PSI springs, Manton 1/2 single taper pushrods, TFS cast tunnel ram with single carb pentroof top with PRC 2.200 dominator. Engine was on dyno before this season began and made 1080HP at 7900rpm. Have since found a few more hp as season went on. More importantly, engine has gone 8.55/ 159 at 3405# on a 28x10.5 tire. Engine is complete and comes with some spares. It only has 30 runs on it since it was freshened last winter, 18K takes it, located in CT, Brian 203-484-7404(H) or 203-382-6005 after 10pm at work.

What kind of head work?
Heads were originally hand ported. Then had Charlie Evans run his CNC program thru the intake ports. The latest updates and valve job was done by Curtis Boggs at RFD. Heads flow 470 cfm and have very high mid lift #s. -- Brian

Guys,

This engine is really a nice engine, I'm surprised that Brian is selling it. Everything is new or like new and is a steal at 18K. The heads are a result of a lot of hard work and are probally the best set of A-460 heads out there anywhere, including my own personal set. They have copper berylium seats, titanium valves and the best mid-lift flow numbers we've ever seen on anybodies A-460 heads. Also let me add, that Brian is a honest and forthright guy.

WHAT WERE THE TORQ. #'s LIKE WHEN YOU DYNOED THIS ENGINE?

ALSO IS THERE A GOOD SINGLE CARB. INTAKE THAT WOULD WORK ON THIS ENGINE AND NOT KILL IT TOO BAD, WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RUN A TUNNEL RAM INTAKE IN MY CLASS.

THANKS JASON

Jason,

Simply because it may be a while before Brian sees this question, I'm taking the liberty to answer it, and I hope he doesn't mind.

1.The peak torque # was 798 lbs.ft. at 6000 rpm when it was dynoed. It may be over 800 lbs.ft. now, since he found a few things.

2. Yes, there is a really good single palne manifold that you can use on this engine, and it is the new style TFS single plane manifold. It's a rock & roll, big horsepower piece.

Hope this helps,

I have decided to keep the short block and am selling the top end.
Complete heads with rockers= $4900
Fully Ported Tunnel ram with single 4 and dual 4 tops= $1000
Manton pushrods and head studs= $450
Will not sell intake, pushrods or head studs until cylinder heads are sold.
Thanks Brian

according to my calculations witha your 3405# car and a trap of 159mph that would put you at 1068 rwhp.
i would say that you definately found some power as the season went. i wish i could afford thos heads, cause i'd sure like to have them.
