hello all...i have a 72 429 smog motor. from what i have read, and i have read quite a bit, it has an 8.5 to 1 compression ratio. which should be almost perfect to turbo charge ...can i get some advice. any and all comments would be appriciated..
If you're intending to turbocharge an old cast-piston engine, I don't think your conversion will have the intended effect for long. When you do change the pistons, you have control over the compression ratio and can set it anywhere you like; depending on your boost level and fuel octane.
